Holiday dress part 2

I switched my serger to needles for sheer fabric, and serged the seams and along the top and bottom of the skirt lining, under skirt and over skirt. The organza was easier to work with than I thought it would be.

then I switched back to universal needles and serged the cut edges of both pieces of orange flannel I picked up on $2.99 a yard sale at Joann’s. Although I just switched it to the dryer it has reduced how much the fabric frayed.

I am also giving myself an ultimatum. I cannot buy fabric to make myself 10 fabric projects. The 10 projects can include anything fabric sewing or not, and anything already started. I will allow myself 1 exception to the no fabric rule and that is 2 1/2 yards of coordinating fleece to the fleece I ordered for another tie blanket.
