Flip flop decoration

About a week ago I bought each of the kids a pair flip-flops at a department store closing sale for about 75 cents each. (after discount) They both wanted them decorated.

I started with my son’s

My mom brought over her stash of embroidery floss and he picked out 3 colors he liked. I started wrapping around the sides and secured it with a little e6000 glue.

When I switched colors I secured with glue again, and wrapped around the end from the previous color.

I continued switching colors and finished both flip-flops.

I love how inexpensive this was (even if I had to buy the embroidery floss it wouldn’t have been expensive) and that isn’t girly. (at least with the chosen colors)
