Chalkboard shirts part 1

Last week when we were at Joann’s the kids saw chalkboard shirts and asked for them. Those were made with chalboard fabric, it isn’t that expensive but it felt waxy and stiff. (at least when glued to the shirt)
I started by prepping my paint. I used the same chalkboard paint recipe I used way back when I made a dog treat jar

I traced color pages the kids picked (larger areas for this would probably be better) onto freezer paper and Ironed them down.

I painted inside the freezer paper stencils.

It wasn’t until I touched up a few spots that I realized that the dark grey is extremely close to the color of one of the t-shirts.
