Vampirate costume part 2

I sewed the skirt today, I thought it was going to take about an hour, but it took me almost 2.

Part of why it took me as long as id did, was because the safety pin popped open a few times and I had to back it out. (seriously if anyone has any ideas on another method for putting elastic in its casing let me know). I love how this skirt turned out!! It is so cute. I might consider making one with a non seasonal fabric for everyday wear for my daughter.

There is a notion you can buy for putting elastic in the casing. It looks like a pair of tweezers with a clip on the end. I have had mine for years and it still works very well.
