A daughter’s idea

No matter how good a child’s idea is it isn’t always the easiest or quickest ideas to create.

One of those ideas that take a long time to accomplish was my daughter’s idea for the stitching on the pockets for her skirt. (a skirt which she wants me to finish so she can wear it next Monday)

I started by making a stencil of the Green Bay Packers logo on a piece of cardboard.

And then tracing the stencil on the pockets using a cloth marking pencil.

After separating 2 threads of the embroidery floss I hand stitched the oval and G. It took me a little over 3 hours!

It isn’t perfect but I LOVE it turned out better than I was picturing it. This is a great detail that will complete the look of the finished skirt nicely.
