The front of the skirt.

I started by sewing the front seam. I lengthened the stitch when I got to where the fly will be.

I made a small cut just below the fly, and pressed it open.

I put in the zipper using this tutorial. (I came across this when reading a review for Jalie 2908 on http://www.sewingpatternreveiw.com)

I am so glad I used that tutorial. The zipper turned out great. After seeing the front as far as it is I know it will turn out the way I imagined it. I hope I can get it done in the next few days. But that could involve a trip to the store for more thread.
