Okay, okay I am probably a bit too exited about the idea of my daughter getting her ears pierced. I sorted through my earrings that I haven’t worn in years. doing so meant a trip to my parents house because I still have some that I wore when I was younger.
I found all the studs and a few pairs with small dangles.
I laid them out on a clean paper towel.
I grabbed a soft toothbrush and some soapy water. (I used dish soap) I also had a little clear water handy, and got to brushing the earrings.
I put some of the backs on toothpicks to hold them easier.
And now they are clean!
After they were dry I replaced a few missing backs. I will probably still wipe them with alcohol or hydrogen peroxide to make sure they are ready to go for her eventually. If her ears are pierced before her birthday all these earrings will be part of her birthday present. At least it means I won’t have to buy her any right away.
